What an exciting day in Newtown N.S. We all joined together as a community to officially raise the flag that was presented to us by the Irish Army.
Fr. Dan Donavan raised the flag as the pupils sang and played our national anthem.
Mrs, Parker’s class read the original proclamation . The pupils of the senior room also composed their own proclamation with a vision for the youth of our generation over the next 100 years.
Mrs. McCourt’s class told us some interesting facts all about the Irish flag and how we must take care of it.
